I'm glad you are here to celebrate! Share a link to your blog post below and/or use #celebratelu to share celebrations on Twitter.

I can't believe I totally missed today is Saturday. It's my favorite day of the week and everything! I guess having a birthday, and anniversary, and a national holiday in the same week is enough to throw anyone off.

My celebration is that I'm surrounded by a whole community of people who don't mind one single bit that I'm a little scattered. Actually, that's only a little smidgen of the celebration. The true celebration is this:

I'm able to accept this as truth.

Here's to celebration in the midst of the real life. And a piece of my real life right now...

He said, "I always want to remember what it was like to ride a jet ski for the first time. Take a picture of this!"

Please link your posts!

  1. I bet that picture really does show what it feels like on the inside, to ride a jet ski. I love that life was so full for you, so full of celebrations that you forgot what today was. I love that many of us still posted, found each other on twitter or feedly and still participated in this amazing community. Ruth, this is quite a community you've started here! I'm honored to be part of it. Happy! Happy! Happy! Happy Birthday! Happy Anniversary! Happy 4th of July! :)

  2. Love that picture! We should always want to experience life that fully.

  3. Dear Ruth,
Thank you for being human. It's ok that life is so full sometimes that routines and rituals change...and we adjust.
I was worried at first that you were no longer doing celebration Saturday but then I figured maybe you were on a lil vacation and we could all celebrate any way! Although you'd be missed...
Glad you were just in the moment of celebrating life! If there's a perfect reason to forget, it's all of your celebrations!!
Thank you for building up and sharing with this community!
    PS Love the pic! ;)

  4. I'm glad you are still doing celebration on Saturdays. Even when I don't get around to posting, I always think about the celebrations of the week on Saturday mornings, now, thanks to you. Happy Birthday, Anniversary, and Holiday weekend all rolled into one. You have lots to celebrate this week - including the glimpse of a happy moment to remember.

  5. Like others, I figured life was just full to bursting, & you would get to it when you could. It does sound like a wonderful week, and Sam's picture shows the feelings very well. Everything is eclipsed after a jet ski ride!

  6. So cute. What a great memory to capture.

  7. Ruth, I was so pleased to have a post for your celebration this week but when I went to place the link, I could not. Would you please be able to post for me. The link to my blog, Celebrating Life on Long Island is Thank you.

I {heart} comments. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.
